If Nokia had been a company back in the Wild Wild West, I have a feeling this “gun phone” pictured here would be one of their greatest flagship products.
The magazine appears to be a Nokia 6020, with the LCD screen and keypad sticking out on the gun handle’s side. It wasn’t specified of what caliber this gun will be, though it should work fine with all bands being a handset-handgun hybrid.
Needless to say, this gun cellphone won’t be available through retail units any time soon. Nokia would probably have to be very near bankruptcy, and not to mention crazy, before they start going for the market this product will serve. Strategy Page via Slippery Brick
India’s much awaited 3G spectrum license auction has already been postponed before, and now it has been postponed yet again, for reasons that remain unclear. The country’s Department of Telecommunications can only say on their web site that the new auction dates will be announced soon.
Why the auction date was pushed back once again isn’t certain. Though, this doesn’t look like it’s the same “give potential bidders more time to study bid documents and rules for
the auction,” as it was with the last postponement.
“Informed sources” infer that the current delay is due to disagreement between India’s Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology with regards to the auction’s floor price. The
Ministry of Finance demands a higher floor price, while the Ministry of Communications &
Information Technology feels that it shouldn’t be so in order to attract bidders.
Eager 3G wireless users will just have to wait until this disagreement is settled, then.

Every now and then Nokia lets firmware updates for its devices loose to users who always want to have the latest features on their purchases. They still do it via Nokia Software Update, and this time it’s the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic that gets an update.
It is said that newly shippped Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phones come with this new firmware, version v11.0.008, right out of the box, but for owners of handsets bought earlier (like last year) Nokia Software Updater is the one chance to update firmware.

I was surfing the web and found an interesting website www.MyOtherDrive.com. The front page looks a little like photobucket but it is still a nice looking online photo sharing website. What I liked about it is that MyOtherDrive offers secure
online storage and it can hold more than just photos. You can store media files, it is also an mp3 and video storage site.
You only get 10GB of bandwidth per month using the free service, which is less than at photobucket, but still a lot. Those who need more online storage space can easily upgrade to get 25GB, 75GB or 200GB with “unmetered” bandwidth. Plans start at $20 and go all the way up to $100.
So, with MyOtherDrive you get 3 or even 4 services in one: free image hosting, video and mp3 storage, easy private file sharing and, to crown it all, free online backup to protect all your files. The website is user-friendly with how-to guides to walk you through the whole process of uploading or sharing your files.
